Luxury Vacation Ideas
Did you know that there are hotels in the United States that cost thousands of dollars to stay in per night? Though the amenities and luxury of these hotels are amazing, most of us will never be able to experience all the wonderment of the expensive hotels, but that doesn’t mean that we can’t have a luxurious vacation of our own.
Most of us don’t have thousands of dollars to throw away on a hotel room for one night, but everyone should be able to feel like royalty for at least one time in their life, so why not make your own luxury on your own vacation?
Though the following ideas will require some money, it will cost less than spending an hour in the swankiest hotels in the world. Take a vacation to a regular hotel, and implement the following ideas in order to experience luxury, even if it’s only for one day.
1. Spend one full day ordering room service.
Luxury is all about being catered to. Spend one day of your trip doing absolutely nothing but hanging out in your room and ordering room service. Start with a large and delicious breakfast, and if you want, ask for the newspaper too. Order something small yet elegant for lunch, such as salads or croissant sandwiches, and don’t forget the mid-day mimosas or bloody marys. Order something large and expensive for dinner, and don’t forget the dessert or the bottle of champagne. And the best part is, you didn’t have to cook at all or get out of bed to enjoy any of it.
2. Take advantage of the spa.
Make sure that you are staying at a hotel that offers spa treatments and indulge in one of the most expensive treatments. Choose the option that takes the most time to ensure that you are getting the most bang for your buck, and if possible, choose an option that you can share with your significant other. This way, you both can feel like royalty together.
3. Rent a fancy car.
If you plan on leaving your hotel for the day, spend some extra money and rent something fancy, such as a luxury car or a sports car. Not only will you feel special getting into something so elegant, but you will also be the envy of other guests.
If you want to feel even more famous, opt to rent a limo or a car with a driver. Now you will really gain some attention, and other guests will be wondering who you are.
4. Splurge on dinner.
Find the fanciest restaurant in the area and make reservations to dine there one night. Get all dressed up in your best attire and make a night of it. Order expensive appetizers, drinks, meals and desserts and have fun with it. Even if you usually only eat at Applebees, splurging on a fine dinner one night is totally worth it.
5. Give large tips.
Choose a day on your vacation to be the world’s best tipper. Make sure to tip every staff member for everything. You’ll be surprised how quickly word will get around and how quickly the staff will start catering to your every need.
Just remember that once the large tips start to disappear, so will your catering services from the hotel staff, so don’t get used to it.
Everyone deserves a bit of luxury in their life, and if you want it, go out and take it. Though you may spend more money than usual, it will be well worth the memories that you’ll share with your loved ones.
